About Us
A church isn’t the building; it’s the people.
What is the Purpose of Church?
You’ve probably heard it said: A church isn’t the building; it’s the people. The people at Bible Baptist Church of Williamson are simply individuals who want to see God transform every category of their lives with the gospel of Christ.
We come from all different backgrounds. Some accepted God’s free gift of salvation at a young age; others were unchurched most of their adult life. Some have families and some have careers. Many have both. No matter who you are, you are sure to find others in your stage of life at BBC.
The Church, the Bride of Christ, exists ultimately to bring glory to God and practically to connect with our Savior, grow in our knowledge and understanding of Scripture, and serve others the way Christ serves us. We strive to return to God’s original perfect plan for his children, which was exemplified for us in the life of His Son, Jesus Christ.
Our Beliefs
God is the Author of Truth.
“In the beginning, God …” ~ Genesis 1:1a

God revealed His Word through the Holy Bible.
“All Scripture is breathed out by God.” ~ 2 Timothy 3:16-17
“The word of God is living and active … ” ~ Hebrews 4:12
“But know this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of one’s own interpretation, for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.” ~ 2 Peter 1:20-21
God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit are three in one.

Man sinned before God, separating us from God and inviting death into the world.
“The woman saw that the tree was good for food and delightful to look at, and that it was desirable for obtaining wisdom. So she took some of its fruit and ate it; she also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it. Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew they were naked.” ~ Genesis 3:6-7
“Just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, in this way death spread to all people, because all sinned.” ~ Romans 5:12
“For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” ~ Romans 3:23
